Oh Christmas Tree (Farm), Oh Christmas Tree (Farm)!

Galehouse Tree Farms is magical, ya’ll. It’s one of my favorite places to photograph a session. Something feels magical about the place, I swear! The smell of the trees, the two cute reindeer (yes, real reindeer!), the adorable gift shop filled with ornaments and lights and trees…hot chocolate and popcorn, the acres of blue spruce, Norway, balsam fir…. OK, i’m getting carried away. But really. It’s a wonderful place.

I have mini sessions at this place yearly, and also offer full family sessions at the farm during the holiday season. I already can’t wait until next year, but I was lucky enough this year to photograph in a severe thunderstorm (think: lightning, the canopy we had for cover ripped into shreds due to 55 mph winds, props were ruined, and it was a torrential downpour)… then a few days later, a thick white blanket of snow grace it’s presence for another session, then I had blue skies and sunny 65 degrees a few days later. Ohio is like that. eye roll …
